[ Holding him close to her like this feels like it only emphasizes the similarity between their heights, even if it also makes it that much easier to compare the way his skin is almost translucent-pale next to her own, and that much easier to tell how very frail he is.

She doesn't comment, though; just lets herself cherish the experience of getting to hold him at all. ]
